Council and democracy

Cannock Chase District Council is a democratic organisation. It comprises of 41 elected Councillors who are responsible for agreeing policies about provision of services and how the Council's money is spent. The Council employs officers who are responsible for its day to day management.


Staffordshire County Council Elections - May 2013

Voting took place on Thursday 2 May 2013 for the election of County Councillors. This involved six Electoral Divisions within Cannock Chase District and seven County Councillors, as one is a dual member Division due to the size.

The single seat Divisions: Brereton and Ravenhill, Cannock Town Centre, Cannock Villages, Chadsmoor and Etchinghill and Heath

The dual seat Division: Hednesford and Rawnsley

The overall turnout for Cannock Chase District was 24.43%
