Food Businesses - Information: Outline
The Environmental Health Department is responsible for enforcement of environmental health legislation.
We carry out regular inspections of all food premises within the District, give advice on all food safety matters including setting up a food business, investigate complaints about premises, people, practices and food, undertake regular sampling of food for bacterial contamination and investigate cases of suspected and confirmed food poisoning.
