The Planning Policy unit provides the Council and its Customers with a high quality, cost effective service to fulfil the requirements of Town & Country Planning legislation, including:-
- Land use planning policy and and the sustainable development policy framework.
- A means of influencing planning issues at the strategic, regional and national level.
- Up-to-date, accurate research and information about the use and development of land,
- Monitoring of key issues including housing and employment.
