Licence - Lottery: Outline

The Gambling Act 2005 requires an organisation or individual who is raising money for charitable purposes or other good causes through the sale of tickets which are to be entered into a prize draw (so called "raffle" tickets) to hold a Lottery Registration.

 

The organisation requires a named Promotor who should be registered in the Council District in which the primary premises of the orgisation is located.

 

Lotteries cannot be registered for private gain.

 

The statutory fee upon application is £40.00 with an annual renewal of £20.00.
