Household Waste - Special Collections For Large Items: Outline
The Council is able to offer residents a bulky uplift collection service. The service is chargeable and is currently £16.00 per unit
We are unable to collect any hazardous items, rubble or fence panels. We are able to collect the following items:
- Up to 10 liftable black sacks containing household/garden waste
- White Goods
- Televisions
- Dining Tables
- Sofas
- Chairs
- Many more household items
It is advisable that residents ring our Contact Centre for confirmation of the costs and availability of collection on 01543 462621. Residents are able to pay over the telephone or by sending in a cheque (collections will not be carried out until payment has cleared)
We would also like to remind residents that some of their household items that are no longer wanted may be useful for someone else. Why not take a look at the furniture reuse network that operates locally.
Freegle is also another way of offering your goods for free to someone else, and you may even pick up a bargain or two for yourself whilst you use the service.
