Cannock Chase is situated within Staffordshire just to the north of the West Midlands. The District covers 7,800 hectares with 3,008 hectares forming part of Cannock Chase, an area of outstanding natural beauty, which lies at the heart of the area. The area includes communities in Brereton, Chadsmoor,Cannock, Hednesford, Heath Hayes, Norton Canes and Rugeley as well as some smaller villages such as Prospect Village and Cannock Wood.

Cannock Chase Council covers an area of 7,800 hectares and has a population of approximately 93,300. The Council is responsible for a wide range of services. We spend around £20 million per annum on a whole variety of goods and services.

It is an aim of the Council to help strengthen the local economy by encouraging and supporting small local businesses and assisting local people to gain employment through the award of our contracts. The Council can not discriminate in favour of local suppliers but it can encourage local suppliers to compete for contracts.

Large purchases and expenditure require competitive tendering. However, smaller items are bought on a more informal basis and provided that your goods or services represent value for money, you stand a good chance of success.
