Financial Assessment: Outline
A service provided by Staffordshire County Council :
The Welfare Benefits department is responsible for providing Welfare Benefits assessments, advice and assistance to clients of Social Services together with their immediate families and carers. This involves not only advice but active advocacy and assistance with appeals. As well as this, Welfare Benefits advice is also provided by Welfare Benefits Assessment Officers when they are undertaking financial assessments for Domiciliary Care.
Welfare Benefits advice is also given to all persons entering residential care and their families. Requests for Welfare Benefits assistance should be made to Social Workers, Welfare Benefits Information Officers and Welfare Benefits Assessment Officers.
