Are you interested in researching your family tree, or discovering the history of your local community? Or maybe you are responsible for the historic records of a local organization? If so, the Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent Archive Service can help you.
The Archive Service locates, collects, preserves and makes available records relating to the past life and work of the people of the county of Staffordshire and the city of Stoke on Trent. Records of a wide range of organizations are held, including local government, churches, schools, hospitals, charities, businesses, landed estates and private individuals. Original records relating to Cannock Chase District are preserved at Staffordshire Record Office.
If you need help in getting started on your research, if you require advice on preserving the records of your organization, or if you are interested in volunteering opportunities, please contact one of our service points and we will be pleased to advise you. Contact details are given in the Archive Service's main website, linked above.
