A to Z
Introductory tenancies: Outline
Introductory tenants do not have all the rights of a secure tenant. The most important difference is the way we are able to take action against those tenants who do not keep to the terms and conditions of their tenancy agreement.
With a secure tenancy we must give the court evidence showing why it should not allow us to repossess the property. With an introductory tenancy we only have to convince the Court that we have followed the correct procedures.
The other main differences as an Introductory tenant are that you do not have the right to:-
Buy your homes.
Exchange your home.
Carry out improvements to your home (we will still do the necessary repairs).
