North Staffs Domestic Violence Forum - a multi agency organisation aimed at raising awareness about domestic violence. They offer a number of services including training, outreach and a helpline. Anyone who feels they are suffering from domestic violence can call them for confidential help and advice on 01782 205500. The helpline is open 10-3 Monday to Thursday and 10-12
Newlife Charity - The charity, based in Stafford, offers grants to families of children who have an illness or disability, to pay for equipment or an item which will help make life easier and reduce pressure on the family. Grants could pay for something like a special car seat or bedding or somewhere to store equipment already being used. Grants are open to families who have a child under 18, with a condition which causes significant problems. Child and Family Grant information and application forms can be downloaded from the website. You can apply if you're a parent, carer or work in the health profession.
Net Mums - A local site run on a voluntary basis with information for local parents in the North Staffs area such as toddler groups, education, support organisations, coping and enjoying life. There is also a separate netmums site covering Congleton
