Once recycling is collected at kerbside it is taken to the Materials Recycling Facility Plant (MRF) where it is mechanically and physically sorted into different streams of materials.
The materials are then re-sorted to sift out any further contaminants and are then bulked, baled and transported onto further destinations for recycling and re-use.
