How Do I Appeal Against A Planning Decision
Appeals can only be made by or on behalf of the person who originally made the application.
Further information can be found on the home page of Planning Inspectorate Website
Or you can write or telephone the Inspectorate at the address shown below.
If you have objected to an application which has been refused and the applicant has appealed the decision and you wish to make comments you should write in triplicate to:
The Planning Inspectorate,
Temple Quay House
2 The Square
Inspectorate Telephone no. 0117 372 8000
NB: If you have commented on a Householder planning application that is now the subject of an appeal you do not need to write to the Inspectorate. Comments already made will be sent to the Inspector by the Local Authority which will be taken into consideration when the decision is made.
The Planning Inspectorate is responsible for deciding appeals on behalf of the Department for Communities and Local Government and will take into account any further comments you wish to make in response to the appeal and will inform you of the final decision if you request them to do so.
