Food Hygiene

The Council is responsible for enforcing food hygiene legislation in all food premises within the Cannock Chase District, including shops, restaurants, care homes, schools, hospitals.

The Food and Safety Team carries out planned inspections of all food businesses at regular intervals. The team also deals with complaints about food, or poor hygiene, and investigates cases of possible food poisoning.

In addition to enforcement work the team is also able to provide advice and support for food businesses.
