Cannock Chase Council

Council Housing Repairs Service

Introduction to the Repairs Service

Request Housing Repairs Online

As your Landlord it is our responsibility to ensure that your home is kept in a good state of repair. However some repairs are the responsibility of the tenant. Please see Your Responsibilities on page 10 of your Housing Services Repairs Handbook.

For further information on the Housing Maintenance Service please see our leaflet.

When you report a repair it is important that you provide as much detail as possible about the broken item.

When you report a repair the person receiving the repair will categorise the repair according to the information given by you. The repair is placed onto the computer system in the relevant category, this will determine how quickly we will respond to your request. We will offer you an appointment for any work required inside your property and where possible for external work. For a full list of the categories please see Repairs Categories.

As part of our commitment to improving our customer service, we contact a percentage of our customers by telephone or post to carry out a Customer Satisfaction Survey following your repair.

The Council also provides an emergency service for out of hours repairs, please do not abuse this system by reporting non-essential repairs.

If the service is called out to a non-urgent repair the Council will invoice you for the costs involved.
