Since 1998 this local authority have offered a unique service to landlords who have properties within this district who are prepared to manage the property themselves.

We can offer advice on:

•     Advice on property fitness standards
•      Referrals from our applicant register, which you may wish to consider as tenants.
•      Impartial advice and information concerning the legislation governing Assured Shorthold Tenancies.
•      Support and assistance in liaising with other departments within this Local Authority.
•      Access to the Landlord Forums and Training Sessions.
•      Access to the Chase Property Accreditation Scheme.
•      Referral to a Tenancy Support Officer
•      Referral of suitable applicants to the rent advance and deposit guarantee scheme operated by the      Churches Housing Coalition.

These services are available free of charge as part of this Council's aim to improve the quality and quantity of the private rented sector within the district, and to offer people a viable alternative to either Social Housing or Owner Occupation.
