Tenancy Support

What is Tenancy Support ?

This is when advice and support is provided to vulnerable tenants whose existing tenancy is either at risk of failing or they are entering a new tenancy and need support to avoid their tenancy from failing. The work is not client specific and tenants can have varying needs. These may include young care leavers starting a new tenancy, mental health issues, drug and alcohol problems, those with a learning difficulty or other vulnerability.

Types of Support We Offer :

1. Assist with claiming benefits
2. Provide advice and assistance with budgeting/debt management.
3. Assist in teaching people basic life skills.
4. Assist tenants to access other agencies
5. Act as an advocate on behalf of the tenants when dealing with other agencies.

How do I qualify ?

You need to an existing council tenant to receive support or are close to being allocated a property, or rent from a private landlord in the Cannock Chase Council area. The support is offered to both males and females on an individual or family basis.
