Cannock Chase Council

Planning Policy

Monitoring

Monitoring

Monitoring judges how effective an adopted plan is and provides a sound evidence base for making decisions on new policies and proposals. Cannock Chase Council monitors key issues in the District detailed in the following reports:

Authorities Monitoring Report (previously known as the Annual Monitoring Report)

The Authorities Monitoring Report (AMR) monitors the implementation of plans and policies to assess if the Council's objectives are being achieved.

Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment (SHLAA) and Employment Land Availability Assessment (ELAA)

These documents are updated annually to identify land suitable and available to meet future housing and employment requirements within the Cannock Chase District area.  The interactive map shows the ELA and SHLAA sites.  The sites have been assessed and are listed in categories to show their status.

Other Monitoring

Monitoring is also undertaken for the following topics:

  • Residential and Employment Land
  • Retail and Office Provision
