Blue Bins Are Coming!!

Residents will be pleased to know that during July - September this year, we will be delivering a new recycling bin to all households. No more litter blowing around the streets, no more having to take many blue boxes to the kerbside for collection. Finally a wheeled bin to contain all your recyclables including paper and cardboard!

Residents have also been issued with a new booklet which contains their 12 month collection calendar and lots of information about the new wheeled bin recycling service.

New 'Notch' System Introduced On Bins!

Residents who are blind or partially sighted will be pleased to know that in conjunction with advice from the Royal National Institute for the Blind, we have introduced a new system where small notches of plastic are carved away from the lids of your bins. Each bin has a different section of lid carved out to represent the different colours/uses for the bin.

The left side of the brown bin lid will have a notch carved out of it

Both sides of the green bin lid will have a notch carved out of it

The right side of the new blue bin will have a notch carved out of it
