Find out your chosen restaurant's hygiene rating

Ever wondered what is behind the kitchen doors in your local restaurant? Well now is the time for you to find out.

The food hygiene rating website for Staffordshire is re-launching as part of Food Safety Week.

The website http://www.ratemyplace.org.uk/ has been helping you for the last six years to find out whether food businesses across the district have good hygiene standards.

We have been working in partnership with other Council's across Staffordshire to redesign the website and to tie it in with the Food Standards Agency's national Food Hygiene Rating Scheme.

Instead of stars for good practice, we are now awarding businesses a rating of between 0 and 5, with 5 being very good.

The ratings across England, Wales and Nortern Ireland are available online at www.food.gov.uk/ratings. They can also be found at http://www.ratemyplace.org.uk/ which has the detailed hygiene reports on food premises across Cannock Chase District and Staffordshire.
