Improvements for Cannock bus station
Published on Friday 27th July 2012
Works will begin at Cannock bus station on Monday 30th July as Cannock Chase Council makes a series of improvements.
Bus lanes will be improved and crossings made safer for pedestrians. Information boards and signs will also be improved and a new shelter for coach parties will be created.
Funding for the works comes from the Council's £300,000 Town Centre Improvement Fund and is being carried out by Staffordshire County Council on behalf of Cannock Chase Council.
Cllr Diane Todd, Cannock Chase Council Town Centre Regeneration Leader, said: "The improvement works should take around three weeks to complete and they've been scheduled for the school summer holidays so there is less disruption. I hope that bus users can bear with us while we make these important improvements."
