A Sustainable Community Strategy is produced by the Local Strategic Partnership. It is not the strategy of any one single organisation but an integrated strategy to be delivered by all the key organisations (public, private, voluntary and community) working together across an area.

A community strategy is developed in conjunction with the local community through consultation.  The consultation identifies the key priorities for people living and working in an area and is concerned with the sustainable development and improved long term social, economic and environmental health of the area.
