Educational Guided Tours for School Groups
Houses from History Tour

This interactive session aims to teach children about how our homes changed during the twentieth century.
Our miner's wife will demonstrate how working families lived in a turn of the century cottage and will invite the children to help with the laundry.
Children then enter our 1940s room to find out what homes and domestic life were like during the wartime era.
- This tour lasts for approximately 90 minutes and is designed to complement your KS1 History work in the classroom about changes in the way of life of pupils, their families and people around them, past & present.
- Worksheets are included for follow-up work back at school.
- Cost: £2.00 per child.
- We can accommodate up to 30 children per visit
- Available all year round
