Make it Contemporary is the title of an annual art and craft fair showcasing some of the region's finest contemporary makers, hosted in a different partnership venue each year.

Make it Contemporary supports local artists and makers, bringing new and exciting crafts makers to the area and opens up the 'creative industries' to the public in a widely accessible and engaging programme of activities. Contemporary Makes and Breaks are a series of fascinating, fun and enjoyable crafts-based workshops designed to accompany the fairs. Held across the region, they are ideal for visitors to the area or for local residents, being a mixture of creative courses, hands-on workshops and drop-in activities to suit all budgets, age groups and abilities.
