
THE BUSINESS GROWTH PROGRAMME HAS NOW LAUNCHED
We are delighted to announce that the new £33 million Business Growth Programme (BGP) has launched and the first funding round is open to applications.
The package of support is designed to strengthen supply chains, stimulate innovation and grow existing Small to Medium sized Enterprises (SMEs) across the Greater Birmingham and Solihull, Stoke and Staffordshire and The Marches Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs).
The four programmes are:

Business Development Programme
The Business Development Programme is aimed at existing B2B Small to Medium sized Enterprises (SMEs) looking to expand, relocate and improve access to markets.
Type of Eligible Expenditure
- capital equipment
- relocation and expansion
- market development

Business Innovation Programme
The Business Innovation Programme is aimed at existing B2B Small to Medium sized Enterprises (SMEs) investing in innovative ”close-to-market” products and services.
Type of Eligible Expenditure
- capital equipment
- improvement of production processes and systems
- new product development (concept development, prototyping, product testing and product launch)
- market development

Green Bridge Programme
The Green Bridge Supply Chain Programme is targeted at existing B2B Small to Medium sized Enterprises (SME) supply chain companies operating in, or expanding into the green economy, demonstrating quantifiable green benefit (i.e. energy efficiency, waste management, recycling and renewables).
Type of Eligible Expenditure
• capital expenditure
• new product development
• market development

HS2 Programme
The HS2 Supply Chain Programme is targeted at existing B2B supply chain Small to Medium sized Enterprises (SMEs)
- which have, or
- are in the process of securing, or
- have the ability to secure a contract for HS2.
Type of Eligible Expenditure:

- application of innovative advance technology
- building information modelling
- market development
