Cannock Wood Neighbourhood Plan
Cannock Wood Parish Council has prepared a Neighbourhood Plan which contains a number of policies for guiding the future development of the Cannock Wood Neighbourhood Area (the Cannock Wood Parish area). It is intended to be used to help determine planning applications in the Cannock Wood Neighbourhood Area and guide other planning-related decisions.
It has undergone public consultation, led by the Parish Council and a formal Regulation 16 consultation undertaken by the District Council in 2023. The plan has now been submitted to an independent Examiner, who will assess the plan and determine whether or not it can proceed to a local referendum. If it is able to proceed, eligible voters within the Neighbourhood Area will be asked if they are in favour, or not in favour, of the plan. If the vote is in favour the Cannock Wood Neighbourhood Plan can be ‘made’ (adopted) as part of the District Local Plan and used to help determine future planning applications.
