Parking permits (blue badge)
Blue parking badges allow cars carrying people who are registered blind or people who have severe walking difficulties to be parked near shops, stations and other facilities. Blue Badges can only be issued to people who meet the eligibility criteria, not to relatives or carers. They can be used in any car the badge holder is driving or is a passenger in.
Staffordshire County Council facilitate this service.

To report an abandoned vehicle please email customerservices@cannockchasedc.gov.uk or telephone 01543 462621.
You can also report an abandoned vehicle online.
In order to help us speed things up please make a note of the following:
- make and colour of the vehicle
- the registration number
- how long you are aware it is there
- the exact location of the vehicle
Local authorities are under a duty (section 3(1) of the Refuse Disposal (Amenity) Act 1978) to remove a vehicle which is abandoned in their area on any land in the open air or on any other land forming part of a highway. However, the duty does not apply to vehicles abandoned on private land where the costs of moving the vehicle to the nearest highway would be disproportionately high.
If the vehicle is in a dangerous condition or burnt out then the police will be called to remove it.
Abandoning a vehicle is a criminal offence. The maximum penalty for abandoning a vehicle is a fine of £2,500 or 3 months' imprisonment or both.
