Housing Maintenance
Housing Maintenance have suspended all non-essential works internally in tenanted properties for the period 13 – 27 January. For anyone with an appointment within that timescale they will be contacted and offered an alternative appointment wherever possible.
Anyone reporting non-essential works in that period will be advised to call back after the 27th January. All emergencies will continue to be responded to.
Housing Maintenance will continue to provide a full repairs and maintenance service wherever possible throughout the second lockdown period. If you have a repair booked for during the lockdown period you must contact us prior to our arrival if you or anyone in your household is displaying coronavirus symptoms or has been in contact with anyone in the past 14 days who has displayed symptoms of or tested positive for coronavirus. When you inform us of this you will have your appointment cancelled unless the repair is an emergency or can be completed safely with no risk to council employees or your household, eg; external works.
You will then have to make a new appointment once your household is clear of coronavirus.
If any of our employees display symptoms or test positive or inform us that they have been in contact with somebody who has displayed symptoms or tested positive for coronavirus we may have to cancel your appointment. We will endeavour to reappoint your repair as soon as possible.
