Our Customer Services Database - Fair Processing Notice

Staffordshire Connects CRM System is the system used to store our residents' information. It is our customer services database.

The purpose of this notice is to explain the purposes for which your data may be used by members of the Staffordshire E-Government Partnership, known as Staffordshire Connects. The members of the Partnership are listed below, comprising all local authorities in Staffordshire. Your local council will hold your data to deliver services to you.

Cannock Chase District Council has worked with the other local authorities in Staffordshire to develop a central Customer Relationship Management system to improve service delivery. Your information will be retained, stored and processed in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 to enable your requests for services to be processed more efficiently. Examples of such services include requests for a new garden waste bin or applications for Housing or Council Tax Benefits.

The Partnership is the registered Data Controller. To deliver services to you more efficiently, Cannock Chase District Council may share your information with organisations including other Councils in the Partnership, other relevant public bodies, voluntary organisations, utility companies (e.g. gas, water, electricity) and external private companies providing services for members of the Partnership. This information may include your name, address and in some circumstances, certain personal information. We may also share your information with other bodies for the purposes of prevention and detection of Fraud.

At no time will your information be passed for marketing or sales purposes to organisations external to Staffordshire Connects. 
From time to time you may be contacted to take part in postal or telephone surveys to enable the Partnership to monitor performance, improve quality and plan for future services.
