VAWG (Violence Against Women & Girls) week is 15-21st April 2024. Our Community Safety Team are working in Partnership with Staffordshire Police to promote various safety initiatives that women and girls may wish to take a look at.
PCSO's will be on hand at Cannock College on 16th April from 13:30 to talk personal safety measures including some of the below,

Walksafe App
This free app is designed to be used by people wanting to get from place to place safely and will send alerts to designated contacts if this doesn’t happen within a specified time. It also includes features such as Follow Me and the ability to share your location with trusted friends giving them real-time updates.
Hollieguard App
This app was set up by the family of Hollie Gazzard who was tragically murdered by an ex-partner. It is a personal alarm, deterrent, evidence catcher and more.
Ask for Angela
Sometimes you can find yourself in a situation that isn’t safe or that makes you feel uncomfortable. In premises that operate Ask for Angela, you can discreetly ask for help from a member of staff if this happens.
