Household Waste Recycling Centres (Tip) Opening Times

All 14 household waste and recycling centres (HWRCs), run by Staffordshire County Council, are now open, with temporary rules and traffic management in place, so that Staffordshire residents can visit them for essential use only.

Cannock Chase is fortunate that it has two Household Waste Recycling Centres within its borders. There is one in Cannock and one in Rugeley.

Both sites are run and managed by Staffordshire County Council.

Restrictions

Trade waste can be accepted
Small traders can dispose of waste at the Cannock HWRC under the Small Traders Waste Disposal Scheme|.

Entrance barrier restrictions
The entrance barriers are 6 foot 6 inches (2 metres) tall.
Vehicles may be stopped to check that household waste is being carried. If you have a specially adapted vehicle and are displaying a disabled badge, the site attendants will lift the barrier.

Restricted waste
We restrict larger amounts of waste being disposed of on the HWRCs. Larger amounts of waste can be disposed of through the Trade waste disposal scheme (Staffordshire County Council) for more information on this scheme.

Domestic garden waste is accepted, including waste carried in small trailers. However, traders with garden waste will need to dispose of this through the chargeable Trade waste disposal scheme (Staffordshire County Council)

Asbestos
Small quantities of asbestos| can be accepted.
