Support for vulnerable residents living in Cannock Chase District

There is a wide range of support available to local people – much of this within the voluntary and community sector.

Loneliness and Befriending - Support Staffordshire have developed a loneliness & befriending support directory with up to date information from local groups. You will also find the Rugeley Community Centre What's on Where document.

If you would like help with your shopping, need medication delivering or would like a chat - the national NHS Volunteer Responders may be able to help. Call 0808 196 3646 (8am to 8pm)

There are a number of local organisations that offer a similar range of support to those that are isolated and vulnerable. These include:

For those experiencing financial difficulties and are unable to afford food or basic provisions, there are local organisations who might to able to provide short-term support:

Cannock Foodbank They are here to help anyone. To contact them call 01543 422394 from 9am-5pm Monday-Friday.

The locations are:

  • Coniston Hall, Cecil Street, Chadsmoor, WS11 5HG, Monday - Friday, 10am-3pm
  • Bourne Methodist Church, Heath Hayes, Cannock, WS12 3AA, Tuesday and Thursday , 2-4pm
  • Kingsmead Baptist Church, Hill Street, Hednesford, WS12 1DJ, Friday 5:30-7pm (offer a delivery service as well)
