Temporary emergency accommodation for asylum seekers in Cannock

This week a hotel in Cannock has started receiving a group of asylum seekers at the request of the Home Office. The asylum seekers are being cared for by Serco as part of an arrangement with the Home Office. 

£20m Levelling Up Fund money for Cannock town centre is `huge boost`

This week’s budget announcement that Cannock Chase Council is to be allocated £20m from the Government’s Levelling Up Fund (LUF) programme has been positively received as `huge boost` to the Council’s ambitious plans to rejuvenate its Cannock town centre.
