The brand-new Reformer studio at Chase Leisure Centre opened on Monday, July 13, following the completion of an exciting project.
The purpose-built studio at the site, run by award-winning operator Everyone Active in partnership with Cannock Chase District Council, features 20 Reformer machines.
The project is part of the leisure company’s commitment to provide innovative fitness offerings for local communities.
Reformer is performed on a specialist machine with adjustable resistance and a moving platform, providing a versatile workout that can be tailored to suit individual fitness levels.
Popular for its ability to strengthen the core, improve flexibility and assist with rehabilitation, the exercise is suitable for people of all ages and abilities.
Trial sessions are available until Sunday, July 26, allowing members to take part in one class per week for free. These can be booked via the Everyone Active app or website.
Reformer FitCore classes are being run at the site, which focus on full-body strengthening and offer an accessible route into Reformer for all abilities.
The addition of the Reformer studio is part of a £2.8million overhaul of leisure facilities in Cannock Chase.
Dan Mclean, Everyone Active’s area contract manager, said: "We’re excited to bring Reformer to Chase Leisure Centre and make this versatile workout accessible to the local community.
“Reformer truly is for everyone, whether you’re just starting your fitness journey, looking to enhance your routine, or recovering from an injury. The Reformer machine’s adaptability ensures sessions can be as gentle or challenging as needed, making it an ideal option for people of all ages and fitness levels."
Councillor Mark Deakin, Portfolio Leader for Leisure, Culture and Heritage, said: "We are delighted to see the new Reformer studio open at Chase Leisure Centre as part of our ongoing investment in leisure facilities across Cannock Chase. This exciting addition provides residents with access to a modern and inclusive form of exercise that can benefit people of all ages and abilities.
“Working in partnership with Everyone Active, we are committed to creating opportunities for our communities to improve their health and wellbeing.
