Cannock Chase Council is pleased to announce the completion of a new spray-art mural on the Cannock Park Pavilion, created by commissioned artist Neil Willis. Inspired by the nature and wildlife found throughout Cannock Park, the artwork marks an important step in the ongoing redevelopment of the park.

The mural features vibrant, detailed depictions of the park’s natural surroundings, giving the pavilion a fresh and welcoming new look.

As part of a wider programme of improvements, the mural is designed to enhance the overall park experience, helping visitors feel more connected, uplifted, and proud of the space they share. The refreshed pavilion is expected to encourage more families, walkers, and community groups to enjoy the park together.

Councillor Garry Samuels, Deputy Leader of Cannock Chase Council and Portfolio Leader for Parks, Culture and Heritage, said: “This wonderful artwork brings a new energy to Cannock Park. It highlights the wildlife that makes the area special and shows how creative projects can help improve our public spaces. We want Cannock Park to be a place where everyone feels welcome and inspired, and this mural is a positive step towards that.”

Christine Salmon, Chair of the Friends of Cannock Park, added: “We’re delighted to see the pavilion transformed with such thoughtful and eye-catching artwork. It really captures the spirit of the park and will bring enjoyment to visitors for years to come. Our group is proud to support improvements like this that help more people appreciate and enjoy this wonderful green space.”

Visitors to the park are being encouraged to keep an eye out for future updates on the ongoing developments within Cannock Park.
