A by-election has been called for Thursday 7 August 2025 to elect a new representative for the Hednesford Green Heath Ward in Cannock Chase District.
The vacancy has arisen following the sad passing of Councillor Fred Prestwood in May this year. The last day to register to vote for this election is Tuesday 22 July 2025. The deadline to apply for a postal vote is 5pm on Wednesday 23 July 2025. Recent home movers should check that they have updated the electoral register and will be eligible to vote. Residents living in other areas of the district are not eligible to vote.
