Cannock Chase Council is delighted to announce that Sketts street market will be coming to Cannock town centre for an additional day this Monday (23 December), to help shoppers with their last minute Christmas shopping.
Cannock’s regular street market usually takes place on a Friday, but Sketts have agreed that they will provide the normal street market for an additional day prior to Christmas, offering shoppers a wide variety of goods and produce from over 25 stalls.
Sketts were appointed as the new street operator in October 2015 and have successfully built up a quality and varied market that increases the footfall into the town centre.
Councillor Gordon Alcott, Portfolio Leader for Town Centre Regeneration said “It’s great to see that the street market will be visiting Cannock town centre on this extra occasion. Shoppers will be able to take advantage of this opportunity and pick up some last minute bargains before Christmas”.
Shoppers can also take advantage of free car parking in all Council owned car parks in Cannock and Rugeley this Saturday (21 December).
