Cannock Chase Council has launched a survey to gather information on how the community within the District travel day to day.

The survey will collect information about how people travel to work, school and socially and why they use that method of travel, be it walking, cycling, driving or public transport.

Councillor Justin Johnson, Portfolio Leader for Environment and Climate Change said “The Council declared a climate emergency in 2019.  This survey is one of a number of actions the Council are taking to achieve their vision of becoming carbon neutral by 2030.  I would ask that everyone takes a few minutes to fill in this short survey, which will help us focus our efforts to reduce harmful greenhouse gases in our immediate environment.  Our planet is being destroyed by harmful gases but we can all make a difference by changing the way we do things and the way we live our lives, including the way we move around and travel.”

The results of the survey will be integrated into the Climate Change Strategy to be developed by the Council.
