Political Composition of the Council

The Council is comprised of 36 councillors, across 12 wards (3 councillors per ward).

The number of seats held by each political party as at 7th October 2025, is:

  • Labour - 19 seats
  • Conservative - 10 seats
  • Green - 5 seats
  • Reform UK - 2 seats

This means that the Council is led by a Labour administration.
