The Council’s Biodiversity Duty Report for January 2023 to December 2025 sets out how we work to conserve and enhance biodiversity across all areas of our activity, fulfilling our legal responsibilities under Section 40 of the Natural Environment and Rural Communities (NERC) Act 2006.

What’s in the Report

The report outlines the work the Council has undertaken over the past two years to support and enhance biodiversity and sets out a five year plan to continue supporting nature’s recovery across the district and wider county through habitat enhancement and creation, public involvement and education, planning and partnership working.
