Old Hednesford Park, Heath Hayes

Old Hednesford Park is on the site of the old canal basins where the barges used to collect and transport coal countywide from the local Cannock mines before these closed.

It is now a well used undulating informal open space with streams and tree and shrub planting in the centre of which is a Council football pitch. On a part of the site adjacent to Hill Street there is an area planted with memorial trees to babies and the Newlife Foundation.

Location:

Old Hednesford Park can be accessed from Hill Street and Hemlock Way, Heath Hayes, WS11 7FG.
