If you're a Cannock Chase Council Tenant and swap homes with another Cannock Chase Council Tenant through a mutual exchange, you could receive an incentive or assistance, for moving to a smaller home.

Downsizing can help reduce your rent and energy bills, and we’re here to make the process as smooth as possible.

No rent arrears? Great — you’re eligible! (If you do have arrears, the incentive will go towards clearing them, so your move can still happen).

Already swapped once? You’ll need to have lived in your current home for at least 12 months before applying again.

Use platforms such as HomeSwapper (no fee) to find your match, or glassbob (there is a fee, which we will reimburse, if you move)
— we’ll even cover the cost (unless you're on a starter tenancy, in arrears, or under Court action).
